  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to health; adding the emergency medical 
  1.3             services regulatory board to the definition of health 
  1.4             related licensing boards; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.5             1995 Supplement, section 214.01, subdivision 2. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1995 Supplement, section 
  1.8   214.01, subdivision 2, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 2.  [HEALTH-RELATED LICENSING BOARD.] "Health-related 
  1.10  licensing board" means the board of examiners of nursing home 
  1.11  administrators established pursuant to section 144A.19, the 
  1.12  emergency medical services regulatory board established pursuant 
  1.13  to section 144E.01, the board of medical practice created 
  1.14  pursuant to section 147.01, the board of nursing created 
  1.15  pursuant to section 148.181, the board of chiropractic examiners 
  1.16  established pursuant to section 148.02, the board of optometry 
  1.17  established pursuant to section 148.52, the board of psychology 
  1.18  established pursuant to section 148.90, the social work 
  1.19  licensing board pursuant to section 148B.19, the board of 
  1.20  marriage and family therapy pursuant to section 148B.30, the 
  1.21  office of mental health practice established pursuant to section 
  1.22  148B.61, the chemical dependency counseling licensing advisory 
  1.23  council established pursuant to section 148C.02, the board of 
  1.24  dietetics and nutrition practice established under section 
  1.25  148.622, the board of dentistry established pursuant to section 
  2.1   150A.02, the board of pharmacy established pursuant to section 
  2.2   151.02, the board of podiatric medicine established pursuant to 
  2.3   section 153.02, and the board of veterinary medicine, 
  2.4   established pursuant to section 156.01. 
  2.5      Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.6      Section 1 is effective July 1, 1996.
