  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; modifying aid and levy 
  1.3             adjustment for independent school district No. 918, 
  1.4             Chandler-Lake Wilson; amending Laws 1993, chapter 224, 
  1.5             article 1, section 34, subdivisions 2 and 3; repealing 
  1.6             Laws 1993, chapter 224, article 1, section 34, 
  1.7             subdivision 1. 
  1.8   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.9      Section 1.  Laws 1993, chapter 224, article 1, section 34, 
  1.10  subdivision 2, is amended to read: 
  1.11     Subd. 2.  [AID ADJUSTMENT.] For fiscal year 1994 1996 only, 
  1.12  the department of education children, families, and learning 
  1.13  shall include in the general education aid calculation for 
  1.14  independent school district No. 504, Slayton, or its successor 
  1.15  district, and independent school district No. 918, Chandler-Lake 
  1.16  Wilson, or its successor district, the sum of the amounts by 
  1.17  which the district's general education aid was reduced for 
  1.18  fiscal years 1992 and 1993 year 1994 under Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.19  section 124A.26. 
  1.20     Sec. 2.  Laws 1993, chapter 224, article 1, section 34, 
  1.21  subdivision 3, is amended to read: 
  1.22     Subd. 3.  [LEVY ADJUSTMENT.] For 1993 1996 taxes payable in 
  1.23  1994 1997 only, independent school district No. 504, Slayton, or 
  1.24  its successor district, and independent school district No. 918, 
  1.25  Chandler-Lake Wilson, or its successor district, may levy an 
  1.26  amount not to exceed the sum of the levy reductions for 
  2.1   fiscal years 1992 and 1993 year 1994 resulting from the general 
  2.2   education revenue fund balance reduction under Minnesota 
  2.3   Statutes, section 124A.26. 
  2.4      Sec. 3.  [REPEALER.] 
  2.5      Laws 1993, chapter 224, article 1, section 34, subdivision 
  2.6   1, is repealed. 
  2.7      Sec. 4.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.8      Sections 1 to 3 are effective the day following final 
  2.9   enactment.
