  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to education finance; authorizing an 
  1.3             exception to the lease levy requirements for 
  1.4             Independent School District No. 861, Winona. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [LEASE LEVY; WINONA SCHOOL DISTRICT.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding the instructional purposes limitation of 
  1.8   Minnesota Statutes, section 126C.40, subdivision 1, Independent 
  1.9   School District No. 861, Winona, may lease a building for 
  1.10  administrative purposes and include the amount of that lease 
  1.11  under Minnesota Statutes, section 126C.40, subdivision 1. 
  1.12     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective for taxes 
  1.13  payable in 2005.
