  1.2             relating to state government; designating English as 
  1.3             the official language; proposing coding for new law in 
  1.4             Minnesota Statutes, chapter 1. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [1.1411] [ENGLISH AS THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE.] 
  1.7      (a) The English language is the official language of the 
  1.8   state of Minnesota. 
  1.9      (b) This section shall not be construed to deny an 
  1.10  individual's rights under the Constitution of the United States, 
  1.11  the Constitution of the state of Minnesota, or any laws, 
  1.12  statutes, or regulations of the United States or state of 
  1.13  Minnesota as a result of that individual's inability to 
  1.14  communicate in the official language.
