  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money for the 
  1.3             urban league street academy.  
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [URBAN LEAGUE STREET ACADEMY.] 
  1.6      $750,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2000 from the 
  1.7   general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.8   learning for a grant to special school district No. 1, 
  1.9   Minneapolis, for the urban league street academy for the costs 
  1.10  of acquiring and moving to a larger building to expand the 
  1.11  academy's program.  This appropriation is available until June 
  1.12  30, 2001.
