A bill for an act
relating to economic development; appropriating money for minority business
development programs.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; MINORITY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAMS.

$500,000 in fiscal year 2016 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2017 are appropriated from
the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a
grant to the Metropolitan Economic Development Association for statewide business
development and assistance services, with an emphasis on minority-owned businesses.
Grant funds appropriated under this section may only be used to match federal grant funds.
