  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; authorizing the 
  1.3             issuance of state bonds; appropriating money for 
  1.4             construction of a wastewater collection system 
  1.5             connection to the Mille Lacs wastewater treatment 
  1.6             facility. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.9      $1,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to 
  1.10  the commissioner of employment and economic development for a 
  1.11  grant under the wastewater infrastructure (WIF) program, 
  1.12  notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 446A.072, 
  1.13  subdivision 5a, to the Garrison, Kathio, West Mille Lacs 
  1.14  sanitary sewer district for construction of a wastewater 
  1.15  collection system connection to the Mille Lacs wastewater 
  1.16  treatment facility.  This appropriation is in addition to grants 
  1.17  made from other appropriations under the WIF program. 
  1.18     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.19     To provide the money appropriated in this act from the bond 
  1.20  proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance shall sell and issue 
  1.21  bonds of the state in an amount up to $1,000,000 in the manner, 
  1.22  upon the terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota 
  1.23  Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota 
  1.24  Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.25     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.26     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
