  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to taxation; allowing taxpayers to request 
  1.3             notices be given to holders of powers of attorney; 
  1.4             proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.5             chapter 270. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [270.277] [NOTICES TO HOLDERS OF POWERS OF 
  1.8   ATTORNEY.] 
  1.9      If a taxpayer has executed a written power of attorney, in 
  1.10  a form prescribed by the commissioner, the commissioner shall 
  1.11  allow the taxpayer to elect, in writing, that copies of all 
  1.12  notices and correspondence between the department of revenue and 
  1.13  the taxpayer will be provided to the holder of the power of 
  1.14  attorney.
