A bill for an act
 relating to education; amending effective date of statutory changes to unrequested
leave of absence provisions; amending Laws 2017, First Special Session chapter
5, article 2, sections 21; 22; 58.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Laws 2017, First Special Session chapter 5, article 2, section 21, the effective
date, is amended to read:


EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective for collective bargaining agreements
effective July 1, 2019 2021, and thereafter.

EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective July 1, 2019.

Sec. 2.

Laws 2017, First Special Session chapter 5, article 2, section 22, the effective date,
is amended to read:

Sec. 3.

Laws 2017, First Special Session chapter 5, article 2, section 58, is amended to
read:


Sec. 58. REPEALER.

Minnesota Statutes 2016, sections 122A.40, subdivision 11; and 122A.41, subdivision
14, are repealed effective July 1, 2019 2021.

EFFECTIVE DATE.

This section is effective July 1, 2019.
