A bill for an act
relating to alcohol; allowing limited service licenses; establishing requirements;
proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 340A.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, a political subdivision may issue limited
service licenses that meet the following requirements:

(1) the recipient of a limited service license must be a for-profit business;

(2) no charge may be made for service of an alcoholic beverage;
new text end
new text begin
(3) service is limited to alcohol provided by the business to customers in the course
of normal operation of the business;

(4) service of alcohol must only occur between the hours of 12:00 noon and 10:00
p.m.;

(5) no more than two drinks may be served to any one patron during any one day; and

(6) the holder of a limited service license must comply with any further restrictions
adopted by the issuing jurisdiction, pay any licensing fee required by the issuing
jurisdiction, and maintain a dram shop liability policy.
