  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; permitting certified 
  1.3             hearing instrument dispensers to perform audiologic 
  1.4             evaluations that are covered hearing aid services 
  1.5             under the medical assistance, general assistance 
  1.6             medical care, and MinnesotaCare programs. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [HEARING INSTRUMENT DISPENSERS; COVERED 
  1.9   SERVICES.] 
  1.10     An individual who is certified under Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.11  chapter 153A, may perform audiologic evaluations that are 
  1.12  covered hearing aid services under the medical assistance, 
  1.13  general assistance medical care, and MinnesotaCare programs.  
  1.14  The commissioner of human services shall amend Minnesota Rules 
  1.15  to comply with this section using the procedures provided under 
  1.16  Minnesota Statutes, section 14.388.
