A bill for an act
 relating to higher education; providing funding for an internship program at
Metropolitan State University; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin METROPOLITAN STATE UNIVERSITY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $150,000 in fiscal year 2016 is appropriated from the general fund to the Board of
Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities for an internship program
operated by the Institute for Community Engagement and Scholarship at Metropolitan
State University. The internship program must provide students with valuable workplace
skills and networking opportunities that enhance employability and career prospects.
