  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education funding; authorizing a grant for 
  1.3             support of the National Association of Student 
  1.4             Councils' 1999 National Convention; appropriating 
  1.5             money. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; STUDENT COUNCIL NATIONAL 
  1.8   CONVENTION.] 
  1.9      $100,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1999 from the 
  1.10  general fund to the department of children, families, and 
  1.11  learning for a grant to supplement the funding for the National 
  1.12  Association of Student Councils' 1999 National Convention to be 
  1.13  held June 26 through June 30, 1999, at the Roseville Area High 
  1.14  School. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
