A bill for an act
 relating to retirement; Public Employees Retirement
Association; excluding police officers of the
University of Minnesota from the public employees
police and fire fund; amending Minnesota Statutes
2004, section 353.64, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 353.64, is
amended by adding a subdivision to read:

exclusion. new text end

new text begin A police officer employed by the University of
Minnesota who is required by the Board of Regents to contribute
to the University of Minnesota faculty retirement plan shall not
be a member of the public employees police and fire fund.
