  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             the Minnesota river valley birding trail. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [MINNESOTA RIVER VALLEY BIRDING TRAIL.] 
  1.6      $100,000 is appropriated from the environment and natural 
  1.7   resources trust fund to the department of natural resources for 
  1.8   a joint development with the office of tourism to develop the 
  1.9   Minnesota river valley birding trail as proposed by the 
  1.10  Minnesota Audubon Society.  A work plan for the trail must be 
  1.11  developed by the department of natural resources and approved by 
  1.12  the legislative commission on Minnesota resources.  The 
  1.13  appropriation is available for the biennium ending June 30, 2001.
