  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; providing a grant to 
  1.3             independent school district No. 197, West St. 
  1.4             Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan, for implementing multiple 
  1.5             pathways for students to meet graduation standards; 
  1.6             appropriating money. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [WEST ST. PAUL-MENDOTA HEIGHTS-EAGAN GRANT.] 
  1.9      The following sum is appropriated from the general fund to 
  1.10  the commissioner of children, families, and learning in the 
  1.11  fiscal year designated, for a grant to independent school 
  1.12  district No. 197, West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan, for 
  1.13  implementing multiple pathways for students to meet graduation 
  1.14  standards: 
  1.15       $502,125     .....     1998 
  1.16     Of this amount, $118,800 is for the district's inquiry 
  1.17  program, $8,325 is for the evening school program, and $375,000 
  1.18  is for the school-to-career program.  The appropriation is 
  1.19  available until June 30, 1999.
