  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 221.0314, 
  1.9   subdivision 9, is amended to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 9.  [HOURS OF SERVICE OF DRIVER.] Code of Federal 
  1.11  Regulations, title 49, part 395, is incorporated by reference, 
  1.12  except that paragraphs (a), (c), (d), (f), (h), (i), (j) (k), 
  1.13  (l), (m), and (n), and (o) of section 395.1 and section 395.13 
  1.14  of that part are not incorporated.  In addition, 
  1.15  cross-references to sections or paragraphs not incorporated in 
  1.16  this subdivision are not incorporated by reference.  The 
  1.17  requirements of Code of Federal Regulations, title 49, part 395, 
  1.18  do not apply to drivers of lightweight vehicles. 
  1.19     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.20  following final enactment.
