A bill for an act
relating to agriculture; establishing moratorium on deer farms.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. DEER FARM MORATORIUM.
Until January 1, 2020, the Board of Animal Health must not allow new registrations for
the possession of Cervidae or the movement of farmed Cervidae to a location where farmed
Cervidae have not been previously located.
EFFECTIVE DATE.
This section is effective the day following final enactment.
