relating to economic development; appropriating money for a career pathways
program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2020 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of employment and economic development for a grant to YWCA St. Paul to operate the
YWCA Career Pathways Program for low-income workers and workers from communities
of color. The funds must be used to provide comprehensive workforce development programs
and services including but not limited to training, education, workforce readiness, job
coaching and support, job placement, and post-placement support services. This is a onetime
appropriation.
