  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to public safety; directing commissioner of 
  1.3             finance to reimburse trunk highway fund for 
  1.4             expenditures incurred by state patrol in providing 
  1.5             patrolling services off the trunk highway system in 
  1.6             Minneapolis. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [TRUNK HIGHWAY FUND; TRANSFER.] 
  1.9      Before July 1, 1997, the commissioner of finance shall 
  1.10  transfer $290,000 from the general fund to the trunk highway 
  1.11  fund, to reimburse the trunk highway fund for all expenditures 
  1.12  from the trunk highway fund in the fiscal year ending June 30, 
  1.13  1997, relating to patrolling services provided by state troopers 
  1.14  off the trunk highway system within the city of Minneapolis. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
