  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing public and 
  1.3             private sale of certain tax-forfeited land that 
  1.4             borders public water in Wadena county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; WADENA COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, Wadena county may sell the tax-forfeited 
  1.10  land bordering public water that is described in paragraph (c), 
  1.11  under the remaining provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 
  1.12  282. 
  1.13     (b) The sales must be in a form approved by the attorney 
  1.14  general.  The attorney general may make necessary changes to the 
  1.15  legal descriptions to correct errors and ensure accuracy. 
  1.16     (c) The lands to be sold are located in Wadena county and 
  1.17  are described as: 
  1.18     (1) part of Government Lot 9 commencing at the southeast 
  1.19  corner of Government Lot 10; thence South 146 feet; thence East 
  1.20  16 feet to a point of beginning; thence East 84 feet; thence 
  1.21  South 150 feet; thence West 84 feet; thence North to the point 
  1.22  of beginning, Section 14, Township 135 North, Range 33 West (PID 
  1.23  03-014-1260); 
  1.24     (2) part of Government Lot 10 commencing at the northwest 
  1.25  corner; thence South 300 feet; thence East 167 feet; thence 
  2.1   South 300 feet; thence West 167 feet; thence North 300 feet to 
  2.2   the point of beginning, Section 14, Township 135 North, Range 33 
  2.3   West (PID 03-014-2040); 
  2.4      (3) part of Government Lot 10 commencing at the northwest 
  2.5   corner of said Lot 10; thence East 200 feet; thence South 100 
  2.6   feet to a point of beginning; thence East 330 feet to the Crow

  3.17  beginning at a point on the east line of Lot 1, Block 5 Sharps 
  3.18  Addition 210 feet South of the northeast corner of said Lot 1; 
  3.19  thence South 70 feet to the north line of said Lot 3; thence 
  3.20  West 156 feet on the north line of Lot 3; thence southeasterly 
  3.21  124 feet to the point of beginning, city of Wadena (PID 
  3.22  22-480-0440). 
  3.23     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  3.24  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  3.25  returned to private ownership. 
  3.26     Sec. 2.  [PRIVATE SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  3.27  PUBLIC WATER; WADENA COUNTY.] 
  3.28     (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  3.29  282.018, subdivision 1, and the public sale provisions of 
  3.30  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282, Wadena county may sell by 
  3.31  private sale the tax-forfeited land bordering public water that 
  3.32  is described in paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of 
  3.33  Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282.  
  3.34     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  3.35  attorney general. 
  3.36     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Wadena county and 
  4.1   is described as:  Reserve Lot C, except the east seven acres, 
  4.2   Borchart's Addition, city of Wadena (PID 22-600-0830). 
  4.3      (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  4.4   management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  4.5   returned to private ownership.
