relating to the legislature; modifying the definition of a legislative day; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 3.012.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 3.012, is amended to read:

legislative day is a day when either house of the legislature deleted text begin is called to orderdeleted text end new text begin gives any
bill a first, second, or third reading or votes to override a governor's vetonew text end . A legislative
day begins at seven o'clock a.m. and continues until seven o'clock a.m. of the following
calendar day.
