  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to agriculture; limiting entry into 
  1.3             facilities in which confined farm animals are kept; 
  1.4             proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.5             chapter 17. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [17.986] [ENTRY INTO FARM ANIMAL FACILITIES.] 
  1.8      No law enforcement, peace, or animal control officer may 
  1.9   enter a facility where confined farm animals are kept unless the 
  1.10  officer follows a procedure and directive for bio-security 
  1.11  measures that are identified by the commissioner of natural 
  1.12  resources and the board of animal health.  
  1.13     This section does not apply to emergency or exigent 
  1.14  circumstances.
