  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; permitting transfer of 
  1.3             authority to appoint trustees of Stevens Seminary from 
  1.4             the McLeod county board of commissioners to the 
  1.5             Glencoe-Silver Lake school board. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [CONVEYANCE OF TRUST FUND LANDS; MCLEOD 
  1.8   COUNTY.] 
  1.9      Notwithstanding Special Laws 1858, chapter 21, as amended 
  1.10  by Special Laws 1865, chapter 7; Minnesota Statutes 1866, 
  1.11  chapter 35, title 1; Special Laws 1868, chapter 114; or any 
  1.12  other law to the contrary, the McLeod county board of 
  1.13  commissioners may transfer its existing authority to appoint the 
  1.14  trustees of the Stevens Seminary to the Glencoe-Silver Lake 
  1.15  school board.  The board may also transfer any other authority 
  1.16  held by the board over the trustees to the school board. 
  1.17     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.18     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
