A bill for an act
relating to crime victim services; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CRIME VICTIM SERVICES APPROPRIATIONS.

new text begin $1,270,575 is appropriated in fiscal year 2006 and
$1,270,575 is appropriated in fiscal year 2007 from the general
fund to the commissioner of public safety to be used for crime
victim services for battered women, sexual assault, general
crime and abused children's funding within the Office of Justice
programs. These funds shall be used for disbursal to crime
victims services providers to restore those activities funds
reduced for fiscal year 2005. No portion of this appropriation
may be allotted to providers that realized an increase in their
activities funds from fiscal year 2004 to fiscal year 2005.
This appropriation is in addition to appropriations made for
these services in the 2005 legislative session and is available
through June 30, 2007.
