  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to child care; appropriating money for the 
  1.3             basic sliding fee child care program; repealing Laws 
  1.4             1999, chapter 205, article 1, section 63. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PARENT FEE SCHEDULE.] 
  1.7      The commissioner of children, families, and learning shall 
  1.8   immediately reduce any parent fees for the basic sliding fee 
  1.9   child care program to their January 1, 1999, level. 
  1.10     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.11     $22,500,000 in fiscal year 2002 and $22,500,000 in fiscal 
  1.12  year 2003 is transferred from the federal TANF fund to the child 
  1.13  care and development fund and appropriated to the commissioner 
  1.14  of children, families, and learning, for the basic sliding fee 
  1.15  child care program under Minnesota Statutes, section 119B.03. 
  1.16     Sec. 3.  [REPEALER.] 
  1.17     Laws 1999, chapter 205, article 1, section 63, is repealed.
