  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to counties; providing for a rate increase 
  1.3             determination for the Ramsey County nursing facility; 
  1.4             amending Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 256B.431, by 
  1.5             adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 256B.431, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 28a.  [RAMSEY COUNTY NURSING FACILITY RATE 
  1.10  DETERMINATION.] Following the determination under subdivision 28 
  1.11  of the payment rate for the rate year beginning July 1, 2004, 
  1.12  for a facility in Ramsey County licensed for 180 beds, the 
  1.13  facility's operating cost per diem shall be increased by $4.98. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
