A bill for an act
relating to education finance; authorizing Independent School District No. 463,
Eden Valley-Watkins, to levy for the costs of remediating certain environmental
hazards.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION LEVY; EDEN
VALLEY-WATKINS.

new text begin Independent School District No. 463, Eden Valley-Watkins, may levy the lesser of
$150,000, or the amount actually spent on environmental remediation efforts related to the
cleanup of a mercury spill. The levy may be spread over three or fewer years.
