  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; appropriating money 
  1.3             to the higher education board to acquire land. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [HIGHER EDUCATION BOARD LAND ACQUISITION.] 
  1.6      $2,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   higher education board to acquire land needed for the state 
  1.8   universities when no other appropriation is available and the 
  1.9   opportunity to acquire the land may expire before a proposal to 
  1.10  acquire it can be considered by the legislature.  This 
  1.11  appropriation is available until expended.
