  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; providing for a report on 
  1.3             projected school district capital expenditures. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [REPORT ON SCHOOL DISTRICT CAPITAL 
  1.6   EXPENDITURES.] 
  1.7      The commissioner of education shall review the projected 
  1.8   capital investment required and the state's commitment for 
  1.9   school district capital expenditures for construction and repair 
  1.10  of district facilities to the year 2000.  The report shall 
  1.11  indicate which construction and repair of district facilities is 
  1.12  required to bring a district into compliance with fire safety 
  1.13  codes, occupational safety and health requirements, and the 
  1.14  Americans with Disabilities Act.  The report shall be submitted 
  1.15  to the education committees of the legislature by February 15, 
  1.16  1996.
