relating to public defenders; appropriating money for increase in public
defenders' salaries.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; BOARD OF PUBLIC DEFENSE.

$....... in fiscal year 2008 and $....... in fiscal year 2009 are appropriated from the
general fund to the Board of Public Defense to fund salary increases for public defenders
and support staff. This amount is added to the board's base budget.
