  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to highways; appropriating money to the 
  1.3             commissioner of transportation for advance acquisition 
  1.4             of trunk highway right-of-way.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION.] 
  1.7      $60,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.8   commissioner of transportation in fiscal year 2002 for 
  1.9   acquisition of right-of-way for state trunk highway construction 
  1.10  and reconstruction projects in advance of final design work for 
  1.11  those projects.  This appropriation is available until spent. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective July 1, 2001.
