  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing the sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited lands that border public water 
  1.4             in Sherburne county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; SHERBURNE COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.8   282.018, subdivision 1, Sherburne county may sell the 
  1.9   tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described in 
  1.10  paragraph (c), under the remaining provisions of Minnesota 
  1.11  Statutes, chapter 282, subject to any additional conditions or 
  1.12  limitations provided in this section. 
  1.13     (b) The conveyance shall be in a from approved by the 
  1.14  attorney general. 
  1.15     (c) The lands that may be conveyed are located in Sherburne 
  1.16  county described as follows: 
  1.17     (1) Lot 11, Block 1, Lake Diann Shores, Section 32, 
  1.18  Township 35, Range 26, Baldwin Township, to be sold by private 
  1.19  sale subject to reversion to the state if any of the following 
  1.20  events occur: 
  1.21     (i) permanent buildings are built on the land; or 
  1.22     (ii) the purchaser of the land who is an adjacent 
  1.23  landowner, or any successor to the original purchaser, 
  1.24  subsequently sells the land separately and apart from the 
  1.25  adjacent land. 
  2.1      (2) Outlot B, Rolling Oaks Estates, Section 29, Township 
  2.2   35, Range 26, Baldwin Township, to be sold by private sale 
  2.3   subject to reversion to the state if any of the following events 
  2.4   occur: 
  2.5      (i) permanent buildings are built on the land; or 
  2.6      (ii) the purchaser of the land who is an adjacent 
  2.7   landowner, or any successor to the original purchaser, 
  2.8   subsequently sells the land separately and apart from the 
  2.9   adjacent land. 
  2.10     (3) That part of government Lot 5 described as follows:  
  2.11  North 200 feet of the South 300 feet of that part of said 
  2.12  Government Lot 5 that lies between the Township Road running in 
  2.13  a Northerly and Southerly direction across said Government Lot 5 
  2.14  and the brook running across said Lot 5 in Section 30, Township 
  2.15  35, Range 26, Baldwin Township, to be sold by private sale 
  2.16  subject to reversion to the state if the purchaser of the land 
  2.17  who is an adjacent landowner, or any successor to the original 
  2.18  purchaser, subsequently sells the land separately and apart from 
  2.19  the adjacent land. 
  2.20     (4) That part of the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of 
  2.21  Section 24, Township 35, Range 27, described as follows:  
  2.22  Beginning at a point on the East Line of said Northeast Quarter 
  2.23  894 feet South of the Northeast Corner of said Northeast 
  2.24  Quarter; thence in a Southwesterly direction to a point on the 
  2.25  West Line of said East Half of Northeast Quarter a distance of 
  2.26  756 feet North of the Southwest corner of said East Half of 
  2.27  Northeast Quarter; thence South along said West Line a distance 
  2.28  of 756 feet to the Southwest corner thereof; thence East along 
  2.29  said South Line of said East Half of Northeast Quarter to the 
  2.30  Southeast Corner of said East Half of Northeast Quarter; thence 
  2.31  North along said East Line to the point of beginning, excepting 
  2.32  therefrom the following described tract:  Beginning at the 
  2.33  Southeast corner of said East Half of Northeast Quarter; thence 
  2.34  North along the East Line of said East Half of Northeast Quarter 
  2.35  a distance of 650 feet; thence West parallel with the South Line 
  2.36  thereof a distance of 580 feet; thence South parallel with the 
  3.1   East Line of Northeast Quarter a distance of 650 feet to the 
  3.2   South Line thereof; thence East along said South Line a distance 
  3.3   of 580 feet to the point of beginning.  This parcel is to be 
  3.4   sold by private sale subject to reversion to the state if any of 
  3.5   the following events occur: 
  3.6      (i) permanent buildings are built on the land; or 
  3.7      (ii) fill is placed on the land. 
  3.8      (5) That part of Government Lot 3, Section 3, Township 34, 
  3.9   Range 29, lying North of the Elk River, Clear Lake Township, to 
  3.10  be sold by private sale subject to reversion to the state if any 
  3.11  of the following events occur: 
  3.12     (i) permanent buildings are built on the land; or 
  3.13     (ii) fill is placed on the land. 
  3.14     (6) Lot 20, Block 1, West Hunter Lake Addition, Section 13, 
  3.15  Township 34, Range 26, Livonia Township, to be sold by private 
  3.16  sale subject to reversion to the state if the purchaser of the 
  3.17  land who is an adjacent landowner, or any successor to the 
  3.18  original purchaser, subsequently sells the land separately and 
  3.19  apart from the adjacent land. 
  3.20     (7) Lot 1, Block 1, West Hunter Lake Second Addition, 
  3.21  Section 13, Township 34, Range 26, Livonia Township, to be sold 
  3.22  by private sale subject to reversion to the state if the 
  3.23  purchaser of the land who is an adjacent landowner, or any 
  3.24  successor to the original purchaser, subsequently sells the land 
  3.25  separately and apart from the adjacent land. 
  3.26     (8) East 300 feet of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast 
  3.27  Quarter of Section 21, Township 34, Range 27, Orrock Township, 
  3.28  subject to reversion to the state if the purchaser of the land 
  3.29  who is an adjacent landowner, or any successor to the original 
  3.30  purchaser, subsequently sells the land separately and apart from 
  3.31  the adjacent land. 
  3.32     (9) Lot 25, Block 1, Ann Lake Beach in Section 15, Township 
  3.33  34, Range 29, Orrock Township, to be sold at private sale 
  3.34  subject to reversion to the state if the purchaser of the land 
  3.35  who is an adjacent landowner, or any successor to the original 
  3.36  purchaser, subsequently sells the land separately and apart from 
  4.1   the adjacent land. 
  4.2      (10) The East Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 3, 
  4.3   Township 35 North, Range 29 West in Palmer Township. 
  4.4      (11) Outlot A, Second Fremont Lake Shores, Section 9, 
  4.5   Township 34, Range 26, City of Zimmerman, to be sold at private 
  4.6   sale subject to reversion to the state if any of the following 
  4.7   events occur: 
  4.8      (i) fill is placed on the land; or 
  4.9      (ii) the purchaser of the land who is an adjacent 
  4.10  landowner, or any successor to the original purchaser, 
  4.11  subsequently sells the land separately and apart from the 
  4.12  adjacent land. 
  4.13     (12) That part of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter 
  4.14  described as follows:  Beginning at a point on the North Line of 
  4.15  Section 10, Township 35, Range 29, said point being 1323.5 feet 
  4.16  East of the Northwest corner of said Section 10, thence South 86 
  4.17  degrees 45 minutes a distance of 1100 feet, thence angle of 90 
  4.18  degrees right a distance of 820 feet, thence angle right 90 
  4.19  degrees a distance of 583 feet, thence angle right 90 degrees a 
  4.20  distance of 270 feet, thence angle right 22 degrees a distance 
  4.21  of 220.9 feet, thence angle left 21 degrees 38 minutes, a 
  4.22  distance of 317.4 feet, thence angle of 90 degrees left a 
  4.23  distance of 597 feet, thence angle right 90 degrees a distance 
  4.24  of 33 feet to the point of beginning, in Section 10, Township 
  4.25  35, Range 29 in Palmer Township. 
  4.26     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  4.27  management interests would best be served if these lands were 
  4.28  returned to private ownership. 
  4.29     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  4.30     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
