A bill for an act
relating to liquor; allowing limited storage for retail liquor operations; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 340A.410, subdivision 7, by adding a
subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 340A.410, subdivision 7, is amended to
read:


Subd. 7.

License limited to space specified.

A licensing authority may issue a
retail alcoholic beverage license only for a space that is compact and contiguousnew text begin , except as
allowed under section 340A.410, subdivision 7a
new text end . A retail alcoholic beverage license is
only effective for the licensed premises specified in the approved license application.

Sec. 2.

Minnesota Statutes 2008, section 340A.410, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin A holder of one or more retail licenses
may operate a separate storage facility for alcoholic beverages, at which shipments from
wholesalers are accepted, provided that all such beverages are only distributed from this
facility to one of the licensed premises owned by the licensee.
