  1.2             relating to telecommunications; providing privacy 
  1.3             protection to consumers of telecommunications, cable, 
  1.4             and Internet services in the state; proposing coding 
  1.5             for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 237. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [237.122] [INFORMATION PRIVACY.] 
  1.8      No provider of telecommunications, cable, or Internet 
  1.9   services offering such services in the state may require a 
  1.10  consumer to waive the consumer's right to restrict the use or 
  1.11  sharing of the consumer's personally identifiable information as 
  1.12  a condition of providing service to that consumer.
