  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to game and fish; allowing spearing on Cass 
  1.3             Lake. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [SPEARING PERMITTED ON CASS LAKE.] 
  1.6      While on or fishing in Cass Lake, a person may take fish by 
  1.7   spearing, possess a spear, and use a dark house.  The 
  1.8   commissioner of natural resources shall amend rules related to 
  1.9   designated special management waters, and any other game and 
  1.10  fish rules to the contrary, to conform with this section.  The 
  1.11  commissioner may use the rulemaking procedure provided under 
  1.12  Minnesota Statutes, section 14.388.  Except as provided under 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, section 14.388, Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.14  14.386 does not apply. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
