  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; appropriating money for the 
  1.3             dairy development and profitability enhancement 
  1.4             program.  
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; DAIRY PROFITABILITY PROGRAMS.] 
  1.7      $1,000,000 is appropriated for fiscal year 2005 from the 
  1.8   general fund to the commissioner of agriculture to expand the 
  1.9   dairy development and profitability enhancement and the dairy 
  1.10  business planning grant programs established under Laws 1997, 
  1.11  chapter 216, section 7, subdivision 2, and Laws 2001, First 
  1.12  Special Session chapter 2, section 9, subdivision 2.  This 
  1.13  appropriation is in addition to the appropriation in Laws 2003, 
  1.14  chapter 128, article 3, section 2, subdivision 5, and other 
  1.15  appropriations or grants for the program. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.17     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
