  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; authorizing Hennepin 
  1.3             county to construct a seawall on Lake Minnetonka 
  1.4             without a permit. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [CONSTRUCTION OF SEAWALL BY HENNEPIN COUNTY ON 
  1.7   LAKE MINNETONKA.] 
  1.8      Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, section 103G.245, 
  1.9   subdivision 1, a public waters work permit is not required for 
  1.10  Hennepin county to construct a new seawall at the site of the 
  1.11  county's water patrol building located at Spring Park Bay on 
  1.12  Lake Minnetonka, provided that the new seawall may not extend 
  1.13  more than 18 feet further into the lake than the existing 
  1.14  seawall.  
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
