A bill for an act
relating to human services; allowing the $20 general
income disregard in certain circumstances; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 256B.056, subdivision
1b.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 256B.056,
subdivision 1b, is amended to read:


Subd. 1b.

Aged, blind, and disabled income methodology.

The $20 general income disregard allowed under the supplemental
security income program is included in the standard and shall
not be allowed as a deduction from income for a person eligible
under section 256B.055, subdivisions 7, 7a, and 12new text begin , except for
those persons who qualify under section 256B.055, subdivision 7,
and receive long-term disability insurance income that helps
offset their cost of care
new text end .
