A bill for an act
relating to state lands; authorizing St. Louis County to lease certain tax-forfeited
land.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin ST. LOUIS COUNTY; TAX-FORFEITED LAND LEASE.

new text begin St. Louis County may enter into a lease for tax-forfeited land with the town of White
and the city of Aurora to provide for the raw water intake and associated infrastructure of
the East Range Joint Powers Board water treatment plant. Notwithstanding Minnesota
Statutes, section 282.04, subdivision 1, paragraph (d), or other law to the contrary, the lease
agreement may provide for consideration of more than $12,000 per year and the term of
the lease may be for 40 years.
