  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing conveyance of 
  1.3             certain surplus state land bordering public water. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CONVEYANCE OF SURPLUS STATE LAND BORDERING 
  1.6   PUBLIC WATER; LAKE OF THE WOODS COUNTY.] 
  1.7      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.8   94.09 to 94.16, or other law to the contrary, the commissioner 
  1.9   of transportation may convey to the city of Baudette for no 
  1.10  consideration the surplus land bordering public water that is 
  1.11  described in paragraph (c). 
  1.12     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.13  attorney general and provide that the land reverts to the state 
  1.14  if the city of Baudette stops using the land for the public 
  1.15  purpose described in paragraph (d). 
  1.16     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Lake of the Woods 
  1.17  county, consists of approximately 6.04 acres, and is described 
  1.18  as:  tract in Government Lot 4, Section 35, Township 161, Range 
  1.19  31 (parcel number R60.35.43.02E). 
  1.20     (d) The commissioner has determined that the land is no 
  1.21  longer needed for any state purpose and that the state's land 
  1.22  management interests would best be served if the land was 
  1.23  conveyed to and used by the city of Baudette as a rest area.
