  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to juvenile justice; appropriating money to 
  1.3             the commissioner of human services to fund a grant to 
  1.4             a child abuse prevention organization for parent 
  1.5             self-help and support purposes. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION 
  1.8   ORGANIZATION; GRANT; COMMISSIONER OF HUMAN SERVICES.] 
  1.9      $50,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.10  commissioner of human services to provide a grant to a 
  1.11  nonprofit, statewide child abuse prevention organization whose 
  1.12  primary focus is parent self-help and support. 
  1.13     The appropriation in this section shall not be included in 
  1.14  the budget base for the 1996-1997 biennium.
