  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; providing for faculty transfers 
  1.3             between bargaining units for community colleges and 
  1.4             technical colleges; amending Laws 1991, chapter 356, 
  1.5             article 9, section 9, as amended. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Laws 1991, chapter 356, article 9, section 9, 
  1.8   as amended by Laws 1994, chapter 532, article 5, section 1, is 
  1.9   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 2a.  [COLLEGE FACULTY TRANSFER.] The commissioner of 
  1.11  the bureau of mediation services is authorized to transfer 
  1.12  positions between bargaining units 10, community college 
  1.13  instructional unit, and 11, technical college instructional 
  1.14  unit, as specified in Minnesota Statutes, section 179A.10, 
  1.15  subdivision 2, subject to the agreements between the exclusive 
  1.16  representatives of these units and the state.
