  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing public sale of 
  1.3             certain tax-forfeited land that borders public water 
  1.4             in Roseau county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND BORDERING 
  1.7   PUBLIC WATER; ROSEAU COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, Roseau county may sell the tax-forfeited 
  1.10  land that is described in paragraph (c), under the remaining 
  1.11  provisions of Minnesota Statutes, chapter 282. 
  1.12     (b) The conveyance must be in a form that is approved by 
  1.13  the attorney general. 
  1.14     (c) The land to be conveyed is located in Roseau county and 
  1.15  is described as: 
  1.16     The Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 
  1.17     20, Township 163 North, Range 36 West. 
  1.18     (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  1.19  management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  1.20  returned to private ownership. 
  1.21     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.22     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
