A bill for an act
relating to education finance; appropriating money for the parent-child home
program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.

Subdivision 1.

Department of Education.

The sums indicated in this section are
appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education in the fiscal years
designated.

Subd. 2.

Parent-child home program.

For a grant to the parent-child home
program:

	$	.......	.....	2014
	$	.......	.....	2015

The grant must be used for an evidence-based and research-validated early childhood
literacy and school readiness program for children ages 16 months to four years at its
existing suburban program location. The program must expand to one additional urban
and one additional rural program location for fiscal years 2014 and 2015.
