  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to veterans; appropriating money for the Red 
  1.3             Tail Project to honor the Tuskeegee airmen. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $100,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of veterans affairs for fiscal year 1998 to make a 
  1.8   grant to the Red Tail Project of the Southern Minnesota Wing of 
  1.9   the Confederate Air Force and Tuskeegee Airmen, Inc., for the 
  1.10  purpose of restoring a P-51C Mustang World War II fighter plane 
  1.11  to honor the airmen known as the "Tuskeegee Airmen."  This 
  1.12  appropriation must be matched by nonstate contributions to the 
  1.13  project.
