  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to liquor; distilled spirits; regulating the 
  1.3             standards of fill for distilled spirits; proposing 
  1.4             coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 340A.
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [340A.91] [STANDARDS OF FILL FOR DISTILLED 
  1.7   SPIRITS.] 
  1.8      The standards of fill for distilled spirits are as follows: 
  1.9      (1) 1/2 gallon; 
  1.10     (2) 1 quart; 
  1.11     (3) 4/5 quart; 
  1.12     (4) 1 pint; 
  1.13     (5) 4/5 pint; 
  1.14     (6) 1/2 pint; and 
  1.15     (7) miniatures containing no more than two ounces; 
  1.16  or the metric equivalent or substantial equivalent of any of the 
  1.17  quantities listed. 
  1.18     Tolerance in the standards of fill shall be allowed by the 
  1.19  commissioner upon application, notwithstanding regulations 
  1.20  adopted by the Secretary of the Treasury pursuant to the federal 
  1.21  Alcohol Administration Act governing standards of fill.
