BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

indicated in this section are appropriated from the general fund
to the Department of Education for the fiscal years designated.

education program grants:

new text begin $....... each year is available for grants to no more than
eight school districts, or school districts in partnership with
either local public health agencies or nonprofit organizations,
taking into account geographical balance, to serve as regional
training sites to assist the department in providing training
for teachers, parents, and community members in the development
of comprehensive family life and sexuality education curriculum
or services and in planning for monitoring and evaluation
activities; resource staff persons to provide expert training,
curriculum development and implementation, and evaluation
services; and issues management and policy development training
for school boards, superintendents, principals, and
administrators across the state; and model programs to promote
innovation and to recognize outstanding performance and promote
replication of demonstrably effective strategies.

in the development of comprehensive family life and sexuality
education curriculum or services and in planning, monitoring,

expert training, curriculum development and implementation, and
evaluation services; educational activities to promote and
coordinate community, parent, and youth involvement in
communities identified as having high need for comprehensive
family life and sexuality education; issues management and
policy development training for school boards, superintendents,
principals, and administrators across the state; and assistance
with evaluation.
