A bill for an act
relating to the Metropolitan Airports Commission;
restricting further construction at the
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport until
certain conditions are met.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin AIRPORT RUNWAY CONSTRUCTION.

new text begin Notwithstanding any permissions or approvals to the
contrary, no further construction of the north/south runway at
the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (Wold-Chamberlain
Field) shall proceed until the Metropolitan Airports Commission
has approved full noise mitigation for all buildings within the
60 DNL exposure contour as shown on the Metropolitan Airports
Commission's 2007 noise exposure map adopted on November 15,
2004.
