  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; providing for uniformity with 
  1.3             certain federal food standards; amending Minnesota 
  1.4             Statutes 1994, section 31.101, subdivision 9, and by 
  1.5             adding subdivisions. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 31.101, 
  1.8   subdivision 9, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 9.  [FISHERY PRODUCTS RULES.] Federal regulations in 
  1.10  effect on April 1, 1994 1995, as provided by Code of Federal 
  1.11  Regulations, title 50, parts 260 to 266 267, are incorporated as 
  1.12  part of the fishery products rules in this state for state 
  1.13  inspections performed under a cooperative agreement with the 
  1.14  United States Department of Commerce, National Marine Fisheries 
  1.15  Service.  The rules may be amended by the commissioner under 
  1.16  chapter 14. 
  1.17     Sec. 2.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 31.101, is 
  1.18  amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.19     Subd. 10.  [FRESH FRUITS, VEGETABLES, AND OTHER PRODUCTS 
  1.20  RULES.] Federal regulations in effect on April 1, 1995, as 
  1.21  provided by Code of Federal Regulations, title 7, parts 51 and 
  1.22  52, are incorporated as part of the food rules in this state.  
  1.23  The rules may be amended by the commissioner under chapter 14. 
  1.24     Sec. 3.  Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 31.101, is 
  1.25  amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  2.1      Subd. 11.  [MEAT AND POULTRY RULES.] Federal regulations in 
  2.2   effect on April 1, 1995, as provided by Code of Federal 
  2.3   Regulations, title 9, parts 301 to 391, excluding part 381.10 
  2.4   which is not meant to be incorporated, are incorporated as part 
  2.5   of the meat and poultry rules in this state.  The rules may be 
  2.6   amended by the commissioner under chapter 14.
